About the Superintendent
It is with sincere gratitude and genuine excitement that I look forward to beginning my work in
the Rockaway Township Schools on July 1st. In anticipation of my start time in the district I
would like to listen and learn as much as possible from the members of our school community.
My visits to the schools have been truly impressive and my meetings with the staff speak to their
sincere commitment to meeting the needs of our students.
A healthy and effective parent-school partnership is critical to the success of each child. The
Rockaway Township Schools is indeed fortunate to have an engaged parent community that
actively supports its efforts and contributes to the vision of the district’s educational future. I am
eager to engage with parents in our school community and begin discussions that I hope will be
both ongoing and consistent. On June 7, 2018 at 7pm in the Copeland School cafeteria, Ms.
Storts and I will be available for an open forum to hear concerns, ideas, and questions that any
parent may wish to share. There will be no formal agenda other than hearing the perspectives
of our parents and what they most wish to see present in our schools. I hope that you may have
time in your schedule to meet with me for what I anticipate will be the first of many future
