Principal's Message

    heart     February 2018          heart

    Dear KDM Families,

January just flew by here at KDM! We had a busy month and February isn’t slowing down. We are celebrating Black History Month with a daily clue read during morning announcements. Any student who wants to participate, can write down their answer with their homeroom and their name. All guesses are then placed in a bucket in the main office. All correct answers are then placed in another bucket and one of them is pulled as the winner for that day. The winner gets to come to the office for a new book! The following events will be taking place during February:

    2/6- PTA Meeting

2/15- Early Dismissal for Students- Faculty In-service

    2/16 and 2/19-School Closed for President’s Day

2/26-3/2- Love of Reading Week (This will be a Spirit Week!)

Our January/February Reading Challenge will end on February 28! Take the time to set aside each day to encourage your student(s) to read on their own or to read with a parent. The more a student reads, the better they will become!

If you haven’t already done so, please be sure to follow us on Twitter @KDMElementary. Thanks for working together to ensure the success of our students!
